Winning both the Army's Precision Sniper Rifle and USSOCOM's Advanced Sniper Rifle contracts, the MK22 earned its place by solving a problem most precision rifles can't: swapping between three calibers (338 Norma Magnum, 300 Norma Magnum, and 7.62x51) with a barrel change and no gunsmith required. Its tool-less trigger group removal, folding stock, and enclosed polymer bolt guide keep it running reliably in the field, giving a single platform the reach for extended-distance precision without locking a shooter into one caliber.

    Long-Range Precision

    Barrett describes the MK 22 as a long-range bolt action sniper rifle system with sub-MOA performance. It was the USSOCOM Advanced Sniper Rifle (ASR) and U.S. Army Precision Sniper Rifle (PSR) contract winner.

    Multi-Caliber Missions

    The rifle converts between 7.62 x 51mm, 300 Norma Magnum and 338 Norma Magnum. Barrel changes are made quickly with a single tool, so one rifle can be set up for different mission needs.

    Field Serviceability

    The trigger group can be removed from the lower receiver quickly with no tools, which Barrett says improves modularity and field serviceability. An enclosed polymer bolt guide is designed for smooth operation in harsh environments.
